In short
- The Aero app collects no data. Your requests, collections and history stay on your Mac.
- This website keeps your email address only if you join the launch list, and only to tell you when Aero is available.
- No ads, no tracking cookies, no analytics. We never sell your data.
Who we are
Aero is made by Eugene Kwasny (“we”, “us”), who is responsible for the data described here. For anything about privacy, write to aerohq.dev@gmail.com.
The Aero app
- Your work stays on your Mac. Collections, requests, environments, variables and history are stored locally with SwiftData. We have no access to them.
- Requests go straight to your APIs. When you send a request, your Mac connects directly to the server you entered. Nothing passes through servers of ours.
- No account, no analytics. Aero has no sign-up, and it contains no analytics, advertising or crash-reporting code.
- OAuth sign-in. When you use OAuth 2.0 with the authorization-code flow, the sign-in page opens in the system's secure web view and your credentials go only to the identity provider you configured. The tokens you receive stay on your Mac.
- Apple diagnostics. If you choose to share analytics with app developers in macOS settings, Apple may send us anonymous crash reports and usage statistics. Apple's own privacy policy covers that sharing, and you can turn it off at any time.
This website
Launch list
If you enter your email in the “Notify me” form, we store that address and the time you signed up. We use it to send you one message when Aero is available on the Mac App Store. We rely on your consent to do this. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can ask us to delete your address at any time.
We keep the address until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.
Server logs
Like any website, our hosting provider processes your IP address, browser type and the pages you request in order to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. These logs are kept for a short time and are not used to identify you.
Cookies and local storage
The site sets no cookies. If you pick a light or dark theme in the footer, that choice is saved in your browser's local storage and never leaves your device. Fonts are served from our own domain, so loading the site doesn't contact third-party font services.
Service providers
We use two providers that process data on our behalf:
- Vercel hosts this website (server logs).
- Resend stores the launch list and sends the launch email.
Both are based in the United States, so your data may be processed outside your country. They protect it under their standard data protection terms. We don't share your data with anyone else, and we never sell it.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or withdraw your consent to the launch email. Write to aerohq.dev@gmail.com and we'll reply within 30 days. If you live in the EU, the UK or a similar jurisdiction, you can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
Aero and this website are made for developers and are not directed at children under 16.
Changes
If we change how we handle data, we'll update this page and the date at the top. If the app ever starts collecting data, we'll say so here before that version ships.
