Aero
In App Store review

The API client that feels native.

Aero is a lightweight REST API client for macOS, built with SwiftUI and SwiftData. Build requests, read responses and switch between dev and prod in one click.

  • SwiftUI, no Electron
  • Runs in the App Sandbox
  • Postman v2.1 import

Features

Everything between the request and the response.

The parts of API testing you repeat every day, in a fast, native Mac app.

Import and export

Paste a cURL command. Get a request.

Bring what you already have. Aero imports and exports cURL commands and Postman Collection v2.1 files.

  1. Copy a command from API docs, a terminal or a teammate's message.
  2. Paste it into Aero. Method, URL, headers and body are filled in.
  3. Send it, then copy it back out as cURL when you need to share it.
Terminal
curl -X POST https://api.acme.dev/v1/users \
  -H 'Authorization: Bearer sk_live_...' \
  -H 'Content-Type: application/json' \
  -d '{"name":"Katherine Johnson","email":"katherine@example.com"}'
becomes
POSThttps://api.acme.dev/v1/users
{
  "auth": "Bearer Token",
  "headers": {
    "Content-Type": "application/json"
  },
  "body": {
    "name": "Katherine Johnson",
    "email": "katherine@example.com"
  }
}

Under the hood

Made for the Mac, with Apple's own tools.

No web view and no bundled browser. Aero is SwiftUI from the sidebar to the response viewer.

SwiftUI

A three-column layout: collections, the request editor and the response, side by side.

NavigationSplitView

SwiftData

Collections, environments and history are stored on your Mac, with a versioned schema so updates migrate your data safely.

SchemaV1 · SchemaMigrationPlan

Sandboxed

Aero can make outgoing connections and open files you choose. Requests go straight from your Mac to your API.

URLSession · async/await

FAQ

Questions before launch

When can I download Aero?

Aero is in App Store review now. Leave your email below and we'll send one message on launch day.

Which Macs does it run on?

Aero needs macOS 26 Tahoe or later. It's a Mac app for now.

Can I bring my Postman collections?

Yes. Aero imports and exports Postman Collection v2.1 files, and you can paste any cURL command to create a request.

Do I need an account?

No. Install Aero and start sending requests. There is nothing to sign up for.

Where is my data stored?

On your Mac. Collections, environments and history are saved locally with SwiftData.

Does Aero send my requests through its own servers?

No. Requests go directly from your Mac to the API you're testing, using Apple's URLSession.

Is GraphQL supported?

Not yet. GraphQL, WebSocket and code generation are on the roadmap.
